Bütone steel drums are tuned percussion musical instruments of a relatively new type – broadly known as ‘tongue’ drums.
Bütones have some similarities in tone to Caribbean steelpan drums, and also certain Gamelan instruments. They are individually handmade to order from custom steel in the south of England.
